Easter Eggs in The Legend of Zelda series have occured in some games in a different series created by Nintendo. They mostly occured in Super Mario series. They rare occured in Kirby and Animal Crossing games.

In Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars, you have Mario ask to stay for the night in Rose Town, Mario will wake up the next morning and you’ll notice Link sleeping next to him. If you interact him, the secret revealed tingle will occur. The music box house theme that made all Gibdos disappear in Majora’s Mask was remade in the Ghost Merry-Go-Round in Super Mario 64 as well as the DS remake. The Fairy Fountain theme was remade in World 3 (Water Land) in Super Mario Bros. 3. The whistle sound was also used in Super Mario Bros. 3 when you use the Magic Whistle to go to the Warp Zone. Link and his belonging vehicles also appeared as Easter Eggs alongside the Hyrule Circuit in Mario Kart 8 and Deluxe version. An 8-bit Link puzzle is also revealed in Super Mario 3D World if you manage to fill in all the squares to earn a Green Star. The get item tingle also triggers that classic Zelda theme remake will also play. In Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga: one of the items that was supposed to be given from Link is actually given to the Mario Bros. by Professor E. Gadd for having to let him sample a coffee item created with enough flavored beans in the Beanbean Kingdom. Also, if you manage to match four rows/columns of barrels (red, blue, or yellow) one the minigames in the S.S Chuckola, an 8-bit sprite of the Stalfos will appear from behind the bottom-right stack of boxes. In Mario Golf, a majority of main characters in the Ocarina of Time were mentioned in the Tournament board one after hole during certain golf courses. The Game Boy color version of Mario Golf, the Links Course has a symbol that resembles a Triforce.

In Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest, Link appears as one of the Greatest Video Game Heros who obtain DK Coins just to be placed on third in the SNES while placed second in the Game Boy Advance remake. Link also is placed third as the Greatest Video Game Heroes in Donkey Kong Land 2. To get Link out of the top three podiums, you need to help Diddy Kong and Dixie Kong obtain enough DK Coins to take over his podium. In the Game Boy Advance, Link will remain in the top 3 podiums instead of Yoshi. In Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble, Bazaar mentions Link’s name and how he was able to know about the “castle” with a sufficiently alternate payment worth of Rupees. This only occurs in the SNES game if you get Dixie and Kiddy to say “I’m saving for Swanky’s!” This Easter Egg triggers was removed in the Game Boy Advance remake.

In Kirby games starting from Kirby Super Star, if you have Kirby swallow an enemy with a sword, his copy ability will give him a sword and a hat that looks akin to Links. In future Kirby games involved with such an Easter egg, Kirby can also perform a Spin Attack just like Link. Some items from the Zelda series and also appeared as Easter Egg treasures in Kirby Super Star where Kirby tries to get all treasure in The Great Cave Offense mode.

In WarioWare games, some mini-games do involve Zelda Easter Eggs. These mini-games must be completed with success if you follow the prompt correctly. In Wario Land 2, an Ocarina appears a a treasure that can be earned in a minigame in a room found in a specific level.

In Yoshi’s Wooly World, scanning a Zelda amiibo and allow you to unlock an yarn-developed Yoshi resembling certain characters, including Link.

In Animal Crossing series, some items (clothing types, furniture, wallpaper, and flooring) can be obtained under certain cirmstances in corresponding game titles. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf + Welcome amiibo, scanning the correct amiibo belonging to the Zelda series while interacting with Wisp from the Magic Lamp will allow you to invite Easter Egg villagers to town while getting their Easter Eggs items. These villagers include Ganon, Epona, Medli, and W. Link. In Animal Crossing: New Horizons (Version 3.0) or Switch 2 Edition, the only villagers with new Easter Egg items appear to be Mineru (Zonai prototype) as a deer villager and Tulin (Tears of the Kingdom Rito prototype) as an actual bird villager. The secret revealed tingle also plays when the villager avator tries on the Zelda Easter egg clothing in Animal Crossing: New Leaf + Welcome Amiibo and possibly New Horizons (3.0 Update) or New Horizons Switch 2 Edition.
