Even with the Game Boy games that you should have managed to get on your Nintendo 3DS, the monochrome colored screens, either gray, or yellow green, may not be enough. That is why Nintendo Switch Online is providing you an option to change the color screen in original Game Boy games. If you have a Nintendo Switch and are curious to see what the monochrome screen in Game Boy games looks like in Game Boy Color Version, you should remove the following Game Boy Games from your Nintendo 3DS VC:
- Super Mario Land
- Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins
- Metroid II; Return of Samus
- Kirby’s Dream Land
- Kirby’s Dream Land 2
The most recently added Game Boy Games in the Nintendo Switch Online are also the following that you should consider removing from your 3DS VC in case of Game Boy Color curiosity:
-
- Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge
- Mege Man II
- Mega Man III
- Mega Man IV
- Mega Man V
- Baseball
- Alleyway
Nintendo will notify you when more monochrome Game Boy and Game Boy Colors games will be added to the Nintendo Swithc Online. I do hope they will bring back the following games soon:
-
- Mario’s Picross
- Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
- Game & Watch Gallery
- Game & Watch Gallery 2
- Donkey Kong
- Donkey Kong Land
- Donkey Kong Land 2
- Donkey Kong Land III
- Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
- Wario Land 2
- Pokemon Red and Blue (International)
- Pokemon Red and Green (Japan only)
- Pokemon Blue (Japan only)
- Pokemon Yellow
- Pokemon Gold and Silver
- Pokemon Crystal
