In Zelda series, there are games that talk about Link saving Hyrule from mostly Ganon aka Ganondorf and saving Princess Zelda. Sometimes, Link ends up fighting main villains that are not Ganon and meeting main female protagonsists other than Zelda. Mostly, Link is tasked to protect or restore the Trifroce. Sometimes, Link is tasked to rescue Oracles, discover what Koholint Island really is, and other things that are a threat to certain locations. However, Link must find all of the important items and complete certain events that are necessary to get a 100% completion. He’ll also discover minigames to try out and earn prizes that Link really wants. Regards to getting a Game Over in most Zelda games, there is NO penalty for dying at least once before beating the game.
Here is the list of general objectives to get a 100% completion.
- Complete all Maps.
- Collect all Inventory Items, upgrades, and collectibles.
- Open every Treasure Chest that remains opened.
- Open every locked door.
- View every cutscene that only plays once.
- View all one-time dialogues from other characters.
- Clear all structures or objects (such as Rocks, Bomb Rock Walls, Barricades, etc) that remained cleared.
- Collect all Rupees that do not reappear.
- Defeat all Enemies that do not spawn.
- Beat the game.
