DLCs

DLC, or Downloadable Content, are additional features that you can purchase for more fun on some games. This was developed by Nintendo ever since Nintendo created Nintendo 3DS and Wii U Games. Should you need to buy DLC Packs, you need a Nintendo Account as well as some Nintendo eShop Gift Cards. If you need Nintendo eShop Gift cards, ask your parents about getting them as a present. They can be for you birthday, for completeing school years, or for Christmas. You can learn more about DLC Packs in particular series created by Nintendo by clicking the tabs under the DLC Tab.

Unfortunately, there’s a link to a Nintendo Support Update saying that Nintendo eShops for Wii U and 3DS will be closed on March 27, 2023. If you’re worried about Wii U and 3DS DLC, you’d best get them all before it’s too late. Usage of credits cards or eShop Gifts Cards to add funds to the Wii U and 3DS eShop account is no longer available. You can still add funds using credits cards or eShop Gift Cards to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch shares an Account wallet balance with a Network ID wallet on Wii U and 3DS before March 27, 2023.

In addition to Nintendo DLC, games exclusives in Wii U and 3DS must be bought before it’s too late. You can always redownload the Wii U and 3DS DLC, exclusives and VC games. You can still receive software updates and enjoy online multiplayer even after March 27, 2023.

    There are games that are exclusive to the 3DS and Wii U where you’ll find Easter eggs in some of them. I strongly recommend getting the following games for Wii U and 3DS systems. The other series is optional and might not be worth the trouble.

    • Stretcmo (3DS) (It has a pass that you have to purchase to play all levels in the game.)

    • Nintendo Badge Arcade (3DS) (Paying for credit won’t be worth the trouble as you can still use credit for free by using the practice machine)
    • Steel Diver (3DS) (It has a Premium Pass)

    • Dillon’s Rolling Western: The Last Ranger (3DS) (optional)
    • Dillon’s Dead-Heat Breakers (3DS) (optional)
