Animal Crossing series have Easter Eggs that appear in certain video games created in a different series.

In Mario games, you can see characters that appear to be Easter Eggs belonging to this series. In Mario Kart 8 and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, you can use karts, wheels, gliders, and racers that appear to be Easter Eggs. The Easter Eggs characters are Villager and Isabelle. Of course, the Easter Eggs characters that appear as obstacles in Mario Kart 8 are Mr. Resetti and Snowman. Bells also appear as Easter Eggs, but as an alternate item for Mario coins that you can collect up to 10 to boost your speed. You can even hear an Easter Egg music piece belonging to Animal Crossing. In Super Mario Maker, all Animal Crossing Easter Egg characters that were temporarily available to unlock from 100 Mario Challenge before the Nintendo Network Shutdown can always be unlocked via amiibo. This includes the following characters: Villager (Super Smash Bros), Tom Nook, K.K. Slider, Reese, Cyrus, Resetti, Rover, Timmy & Tommy, Blathers, Mabel, Kapp’n, Celeste, Kicks, Isabelle (Summer and Winter Outfits), Digby, and Lottie.

In Yoshi’s Woolly World, scanning Animal Crossing amiibo can give you an Animal Crossing design for Yarn Yoshi from a corresponding character. This also works in Poochy & Yoshi’s Woolly World for the Nintendo 3DS.

In WarioWare Gold, scanning Animal Crossing amiibo via Wario’s amiibo sketch can unlock a so-so-made sketch for that corresponding Easter Egg character. Nothing weird about that, right?
