If you haven’t owned any official GameCube Games in your own collection, Nintendo is also bringing back a first few GameCube Games only on the Switch 2 by the fact that it may be compatible with the mic and other gimmicks akin to the original Game Boy Advance Linkage to the GameCube. In this new emulator app for Nintendo Switch Online for Swtich 2 called Nintendo GameCube: Nintendo Classic, they are starting bringing back the following games:
- The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
- F-Zero GX
- Soulcalibur 2
- Super Mario Sunshine
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
- Pokemon ZD: Gale of Darkness
- Super Mario Strikers
- Luigi’s Mansion
- Pokemon Colosseum
- Chibi-Robo
However, those are just ongoing games that will bring back the nostalgia. So, you’ll never know what it would look like in that section until you buy the Nintendo Switch 2, transfer Nintendo Switch Online data and Switch Data to the Switch 2 with the Nintendo Account, and then find out.
You can also hope that Nintendo would bring back the other GameCube games that you’ll start getting used to in the future. This the includes the following games
- Mario Kart: Double-Dash!
- Mario Party 4
- Mario Party 5
- Mario Party 6 (may include a mic gimmick that the Switch 2 has)
- Mario Party 7 (may include a mic gimmick that the Switch 2 has)
- Mario Power Tennis
- Mario Golf: Toadstool Tour (May include Game Boy Advance link data transfer gimmick between Switch 2 and Switch, but you’ll never know)
- Mario Superstar Baseball
- Donkey Kong Jungle Beat
- Wario World
- WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$!
- The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure (May require a regular Nintendo Switch as a Game Boy Advance Emulator device, but you’ll never know.)
- The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
- Metroid Prime
- Metroid Prime 2
- Kirby Air Ride
- Star Fox Adventures
- Star Fox Assault
- Pikmin
- Pikmin 2
While these games can allow you to use the suspend menu and create restore points in case you make a mistake in a certain game, there are some that may not allow that even if played in single-player. In this case, the other GameCube games that would restrict using restore points when it comes to related to time within the game remain questionable, including the following:
- Super Smash Bros. Melee
- Paper Mario 2: The Thousand-Year Door
- Animal Crossing
