Guess what? I got good news and bad news. The good news is that Nintendo have created a Nintendo Switch 2 that will be available soon. It will be compatible with Switch 2 as well as the original Switch games. It even offers Nintendo Switch Online on all currently available classic and Virtual Console games so far. As long as you have both an original Nintendo Switch and a Nintendo Account, you can be able to transfer game data from every last Switch game or software that you have played so far in order to continue Switch Online as well as original Switch games. There are even additional gimmicks for the Switch 2 that you’ll be using for the first time ever.
According to the Nintendo Direct, you’ll be provided with the C button that allows you to contact people while still playing Switch games and other interesting stuff related to social communications. You can also be provided with a microphone that will sense voice and surrounding noises. The Joy-Cons can even be used as a mouse gimmick which similar to using a stylus on the Nintendo 3DS.
The bad news is Nintendo has terminated a few classic games from Nintendo Switch Online, including the Supper Soccer in the SNES Online app. If you haven’t played that game at all, that’s o.k. It wouldn’t pique your interest very much anyway?
Please hope that Nintendo would still be able to bring back in the Switch 2 or Original Switch the following Virtual Console games that you may or may not have purchased from your 3DS or Wii U eShop.
- Wario Land: Super Mario Land 3
- Wario Land 2
- Super Mario Bros. Deluxe
- Game & Watch Gallery
- Game & Watch Gallery 2
- Game & Watch Gallery 4
- Mario Tennis: Power Tour
- Mario Golf: Advanced Tour
- Mario Pinball Land
- Mario Party Advance
- DK: King of Swing
- Mega Man 1-7
- Mega Man X, X2, and X3
- Kid Icarus II
Also, don’t forget to get a glimpse of the trailer for Mario Kart World as well as the New Zelda game, “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment” coming soon.
